Purgatory : Rising

This is just a demo!  It contains the first level of the full game coming soon!

Purgatory is a 3rd Person Action-RPG inspired by the Souls-Like genre.  The emphasis is on executing sequences of attacks correctly to control the flow of Combat.  

You are a nurse who wakes up in a accursed land after falling ill. To get out you must fight through enemies and hellish beasts to make it out and return back to the land of the living. Along the way you will discover more about the mysterious world and defeat challenging bosses.

I have taken influence from the book Purgatorio when building the world and story.  Once the game is finished there will be even more influence than you see here in the demo.

The combat consists of timing attacks correctly to make combos and inflict higher damage.  After the first attack,  there is a window of time where you can attack again and create a combo.

Utilize currency acquired from killing enemies to level your character with a number of different attributes.
